Ultrasonographer - Per Diem
Summary:
Produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related dataIs able to function with minimal supervisionShall assist clinicians/radiologists with ultrasound guided procedures.

RequirementsEducation, Training or Certifications Required:
Minimum - successfully completed two year work/training in ultrasound resulting in certification in sonographyPreferred Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited sonography programBLS CertificateExperience Required:
Minimum RDMS(Abdomen and OB-GYN) with at least two years scanning experience.
Preferred RDMS,RVT, and RDCS with five years scanning experience.
Special Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform sonographic studies on a wide range of patient ages and abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Cognitive Requirements:
Good analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
Ability to maintain professional skills while working with patients who may be critically ill or severely injured.
Physical Demands:
Excellent manual dexterity.
Physical strength to transport patients and equipment.
Visual acuity.
Environment:
Ability to work a variety of day/evening shifts and possibly some weekends and holidays.
Possible exposure to physical, mental and verbal abuse from patients.
Work involves an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissue or a potential for spills or splashes.
Work with patients who have a wide range of illnesses and conditions.
