MDI YMCA Summer Camp Counselors Wanted *HOUSING INCLUDED*

Mount Desert Island YMCA Mount Desert Island YMCA Bar Harbor, ME Bar Harbor, ME Temporary Full-time Temporary Full-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour Mount Desert Island YMCA is seeking summer camp group leads and counselors for our 2024 Summer Day Camp! We are working to build a team of passionate counselors aged 18 and older for our 9 weeks of summer camp and one week of training.
The date range is Monday June 24th-Friday August 23th.
If you are a College or mature High School age counselor and enjoy working with children ages 3-12 in a high-energy summer camp environment, we want to hear from you! Summer camp runs Monday-Friday during the day.
We run camp from 7:
30-3:
30pm and offer after-care from 3:
30-5:
30pm.
We will be taking the 4th and 5th of July off in observance of Independence Day We play, we swim, we go on field trips and have a blast at camp and our counselors need to ready ready for fun too.
Free YMCA membership during summer camp season for all counselors and employee discounts on programming apply.
WE HAVE HOUSING FOR COUNSELORS THAT NEED IT! First come first served.
$500 End-of-season bonus for counselors who are with us for the 10 weeks and take 2 or less days off during the camp season.
All counselors get free lunch every Friday throughout the summer.
Counselors are asked if they would like to be lifeguard certified and/or YMCA bus driver certified for use at camp.
Take that training and skill with you to a new job when camp is over! Job Types:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
