Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiopulmonary system.
Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.
Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
o Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to contribute your expertise and insights to the overall patient care plan.
o Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively, demonstrating proficiency in resuscitation techniques and emergency airway management.
o Provide guidance and support to less experienced respiratory therapy staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:
o Valid Respiratory Therapist license/certification in the state of Maine.
o Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
o BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is a plus.
o Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or critical care setting is preferred.
o Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
o Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
