Job Description
A full time Research Assistant position is available at The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor campus. The candidate will perform a variety of functions in support of the Genetic Resource Science research group. This position reports directly to Dr. Laura Reinholdt and involves projects that are focused on mouse genetics, functional genomics, germ cell development and pluripotent cell biology.
Required Skills
Primary responsibilities will include mouse colony management, tissue collection, genotyping, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, and cytology and cell biology.
The position will also involve derivation and maintenance of emergent ES cell lines; therefore interest/facility with microsurgery, mouse embryo manipulation and ES cell culture is desirable.
Additional responsibilities will evolve according to project goals and the applicant's interests / abilities. Occasional evening and /or weekend work will be required.
Responsible management of laboratory inventories and responsible adherence to laboratory safety procedures are essential.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, independent, eager to learn a breadth of techniques, and comfortable working within a large team environment. A Bachelor's degree in a scientifically relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
