Town of Bar Harbor Public Works Wastewater Division Maintenance Worker I The Town of Bar Harbor Wastewater Division has an immediate opening for the position of Maintenance Worker I. The primary responsibility of this position is the inspection and maintenance of the Town's collection system. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Recording and maintaining all data for the collection system, operating and maintaining sewer inspection and cleaning equipment, maintaining and repair of sewer lines and manholes. Successful candidate will demonstrate the following: Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail Responsibility and self-motivation Ability to meet deadlines Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and preference given to experience with ARC GIS Mechanical ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment used in the trade; including sewer video inspection and cleaning equipment, pumps, and vehicles Ability to communicate and maintain harmonious relations with other employees and the general public Minimum qualifications include: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; fixed and moving machinery operation experience; a variety of mechanical experience; possession of a valid Class B Maine State Driver's License, or obtain one in 120 days; physical ability to lift 70 pounds. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.
