Job Description
The Jackson Laboratory is recognized as the leading mammalian genetics research institute focused on mouse genetics and disease research, and a unique resource for the scientific community. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Customer Support, the incumbent is responsible for the in-department support of marketing operations systems. This role supports the configuration, management, maintenance and reporting of CRM, Marketing Automation, Social media and the Website. Responsibilities include the development of increasingly sophisticated lead generation, nurturing and tracking techniques to convert more contacts to customers and metrics that inform what programs/approaches are most effective. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of content delivered in emails. This position will develop reports and data sets from enterprise level marketing automation platforms and web analytics which will inform and be utilized by other members of the marketing organization to evaluate the effectiveness and value of the activities managed through marketing automation.
The successful candidate will be creative, be competent in developing automated marketing communications, have the dedication and flexibility to meet aggressive deadlines, have experience interacting with various levels of management and staff; will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills; understand the use of analytics to measure performance, be a self-starter; and have the ability to work independently as well as within groups. The candidate must have the ability to travel up to 10%.
Required Skills
Strong initiative, be goal-driven, highly creative, results-oriented, and possess excellent computer, web and marketing automation technology skills and CRM knowledge.
Great communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to work effectively across functional groups to set and meet aggressive schedules.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or business-related field is preferred
3 years of experience in marketing related field
Demonstrated expertise in effective marketing strategies and marketing best practices
Experience using CRM (SFDC), Mass Email (Marketo) or similar tools is preferred
Salesforce administrator certification is a significant plus
Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop experience is also desired
The ability to effectively manage projects in a matrix environment and hold stakeholders accountable for deadlines and deliverables while maintaining a positive team focused work environment.
