Job Description
JAX Mice & Clinical Research Services currently has a full time opportunity in their customer service department. Representing the needs of our internal/external customers, this position serves as the customer advocate while providing exceptional support service by answering calls from customers concerning orders, product availability and relaying prices of JAX Mice and related products. This position requires interpreting fax and email communications, responding timely and appropriately as well as accurately data entering orders into our order processing computer system. Requirements also include outbound calling initiatives and bringing customer concerns to resolution with timeliness and demonstration of excellent problem solving skills. Candidates must be self-starters with a high level of initiative, be able to multi-task effectively, and have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, a positive "can do" attitude, and a customer-centric outlook.

The standard work schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm or 11:30am - 8:00pm or a combination of these two schedules and it is subject to change based on business needs.
The Jackson Laboratory provides 2-3 months of on the job training for this position and the hours during training will be 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Required Skills
3 years of experience working in a customer support function or call center environment
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality internal/external customer support in a business environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as order processing technologies typically used in call center environments
Strong organizational abilities and follow-through skills
Capability to analyze data and report findings with clarity in written and oral communications
Proven ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve desired business results;
Positive attitude and professional manner in all interactions; demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Demonstrated ability to thrive on change and keep pace in a dynamic work environment which is externally focused

The successful candidate for this position will be required to clear a Background Check and Consumer Credit Report prior to starting the new position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
