Total Compensation Manager - Maine or NH

Total Compensation Manager ? Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced compensation professional to join our team and lead our total rewards efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our growing company, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and working closely with our HR Shared Services Manager and HR Business Partners. This position could be located in either Bar Harbor or Ellsworth, ME, or our Newport, NH location.
In this role, you will plan, develop and direct companywide benefits, compensation, equity, and executive compensation programs. This position requires both the ability to operate at a strategic level with senior executives as well as at a tactical and execution oriented level on a day-to-day basis with the HR team.
A successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in related field and professional certification preferred.
10+ years of professional experience with at least 6 years as a Total Rewards professional.
Experience in developing and executing Total Rewards strategies and programs.
Experience influencing and building trusted relationships with business leaders.
Outstanding strategic, written and oral communication skills.
Strong quantitative/analytic skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.
Experience leading and motivating teams without direct reporting relationships.
Emotional Intelligence, including outstanding interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills and an inclusive and collaborative mindset.
Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment.
Lifelong learner with a passion for continuous improvement.
Solid business acumen.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
