Senior Designer

Senior Designer provides hands-on conceptualization and execution of effective, innovative communications materials that enhance the Laboratory's visibility and advance its status as a global leader in biomedical research. JAX is seeking someone who is a visual storyteller across multiple platforms. Deliverables will include digital video displays for our tradeshow exhibits, designing the JAX Calendar, infographics, animations, video, advertisements, presentations, and posters.
Working within the established brand and budgetary guidelines, this position utilizes contemporary design production methods to create visual marketing materials for JAX? Mice, Clinical & Research Services.
Ensures that delivered content achieves visual, quality and timeliness requirements.
Communicates directly with Campaign and Content Managers and JMCRS stakeholders.
Uses state-of-the art hardware and software to execute work from conceptualization to final delivery.
Follows brand guidelines and ensures compliance with copyright and trademark laws.
Utilizes existing digital asset management system and file structures to maintain organized project files with associated metadata.
Bachelor's degree in Studio Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, New Media, or a related field, and three or more years providing related creative services in a customer-service setting, are required. Equivalent experience as might be gained through at least 5 years in such a position may be considered in lieu of an industry-specific degree.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard design hardware and software (particularly DSLR-style digital cameras, Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, and HTML/CSS/Javascript) and their application in state-of-the-art print and digital communication.
Demonstrated ability to be a positive team player across diverse internal and external organizations.
Experience with 2D and 3D animation is highly desirable.
Must be a creative, thinking person with the ability to balance the creative with the technical quickly, accurately and efficiently to produce high quality work. Ability to translate established marketing strategies into professional visuals that are consistent with the brand image. Strong organizational, project management and self-directing skills. Ability to take direction and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
