Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

Responsible for the accomplishment of all daily work flow of Buildings, Utilities, Water and Waste Water activities. The work carried out includes regularly scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs for all facilities, equipment, building and utilities and historic structures. This position is considered essential to park operations and as such may not be granted the same administrative leave as other park employees during storms or emergency events. Incumbent may be required to report to work during winter storm events to clear snow from park walkways and administrative areas and oversee emergency operations during inclement weather events. Supervises over 13 full time employees including WS-06, WG-10, WG-09 and WG-07 and WG-05. The positions supervised perform the functions of historic preservation, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, boat operation, painting, vehicle operators and masonry. A seasonal staff of approximately seventeen employees includes four WG-05 maintenance workers and up to eight WG-3 laborers. Position oversees the maintenance and repair of the following:
Twenty-four sewage disposal systems including septic tank/drain fields; Water systems include seventeen wells with associated pumps, tanks, controls, and eight treatment and distribution systems; numerous buildings including thirty-three public restrooms, two amphitheaters, two visitor centers, two historic gatehouses, an office/shop complex, 21 employee housing units, three campgrounds with over 500 sites and numerous support structures. Position requires within one year of appointment a Contracting Officer's Representative Certificate (COR - II) and licensesure as a Very Small Water System Operator and a Class 1 Water Distribution license with the State of Maine. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
